Creativity, Collaboration, Cooperation and Critical Thinking

Our Dalhousie Learning Commons is a busy space.  Students and staff use this amazing space to research, create, design, read, write and engage in 21st Century Learning to develop the skills of creativity, collaboration, cooperation and critical thinking.

Students receive two periods in the learning commons per 6 day cycle with one book exchange period and one period of learning with the Teacher Librarian. 

Our collection includes graphic novels, non-fiction, dual-language books and so much more!

Our teacher librarian celebrates and recognizes the Manitoba Young Reader's Choice Awards nominees and the Blue Spruce picture book nominees from the Forest of Reading Collection.

Every February, our school celebrates "I Love to Read" through an annual theme and fun activities to promote reading and literacy learning.
