French Immersion

École South Pointe School's French Immersion program runs from Kindergarten to grade 8. Students start as non-French speakers and progress through our program, continuing on to a point where they can carry on conversations in French, as well as read and write. Parents do not need to speak French as students work toward fluency through instruction and immersion with their teacher. Teachers speak to the students in French whenever possible, allowing even the youngest of learners to grasp daily routines and lessons in the target language. The French language is also used daily throughout the school as a whole, so all children benefit. The Manitoba Curriculum is followed.
