About Us
Nestled at the edge of Charleswood, Beaverlodge School is a community-based school with an enrolment of approximately 135 K to 5 students. Our students enjoy the benefits of a large grassy field and play area surrounded by a forest that contains our outdoor classroom.
There is a school-wide emphasis on literacy, numeracy, citizenship and Earth stewardship. We have achieved Earth 9 status with Green Schools. Our students learn the benefits of being productive, contributing members of society while engaging in lessons that further their literacy and numeracy skills. We are committed to inclusion; teachers strive to create engaging and rich learning experiences in response to the diversity of student learning needs and we are committed to inclusion of all students.
Our current professional staff includes subject specialists in French, music and physical education as well as classroom teachers and a teacher librarian. Student support services include Resource, English as an Additional Language and Leveled Literacy Intervention teachers and a counsellor.
We have educational assistants working collaboratively with teachers to support student learning, a library technician, an administrative secretary and three custodians. As a dedicated staff, we collaborate to provide a school climate in which students, staff and parents work together with a focus on learning in a safe and caring school.
