Community

Royal School is a Kindergarten to Grade Five school offering the English school curriculum.  We are located on the corner of Grant Avenue and Laxdal Road in the community of Charleswood.

Parents play an integral part of student learning. We welcome parent volunteers to share in our daily learning and school experience. Parent volunteers support us by:

• shared reading with students
• playing instructional games with students
• assisting with special projects in the classroom/school
• acting as a guest speaker to talk about a special interest
• assisting in the classroom and on field trips

*Please note: All school volunteers must complete a Criminal Record Check and a Child Abuse Registry Check. Information regarding this process is available at the school office.

Royal School focuses on a Respect Agreement with the following emphases:

1. We use kind words when speaking to others (give compliments and use respectful language);

2. We include everyone (in the classroom and outside the classroom);

3. We keep everyone safe (no verbal or physical hits);

4. We follow adult direction (teachers, EAs, guest teachers and lunch supervisors);

5. We show respect for property (our own, other people's, the school's and the environment).
