Parent Group

About Us

Prairie Sunrise Parent Group is open to all parents in our community including guardians, community members and school staff who work collaboratively to address the needs, issues and concerns that impact the Prairie Sunrise community and its student learners.

At the root of this partnership is participation, involvement and responsibility in the education process and student learning. The Parent Group members are advocates for the use of  21st century curriculum,  whole school learning activities, initiatives for welcoming new students and special events. 

Who Are We? 

We are you! Genevieve Atnip is our organizer for the Parent Group. She has shared a vision for including any and all parents who would like to be part of the monthly meeting. 

What Do We Do?

We work together to support our students to have opportunities beyond what the school is able to offer. We meet every third Thursday evening via Teams at 6:30 pm. The link will be posted on the website as well as sent out each month.

Parents volunteer efforts support extras such as pizza lunches, special events and activities and any extra equipment such as outdoor play structures. Parents are encouraged to volunteer when they can. This is an informal group without an executive organization.
