Canada 150 Project 2017:

In 2017, all schools in Pembina Trails participated in various "We Are Canada" celebrations to mark Canada's 150, the 200^th anniversary of the signing of the Selkirk Treaty, the 100^th anniversary of Vimy Ridge, the 50^th anniversary of the Canada Games, the 30^th anniversary of Rick Hansen’s Man in Motion World Tour and the 25^th anniversary of the Trans Canada Trail.

As an extension of our 2015 Human Rights Project, this project extended the same objectives and go deeper by promoting: (1) civic engagement and participation; (2) democracy and identification with Canada.

Human Rights Project 2015:

On May 20 and 21, 2015, 15,000 Pembina Trails students and staff transformed Investors Group Field into a massive mosaic highlighting the human rights of children. Each person created a single 8x10” panel depicting what human rights means to them.
