EAL
Laidlaw School is home to a diverse community celebrating many languages and cultures where newcomers to Canada and International students are welcomed. Students are assessed by our EAL teacher at registration to determine language proficiency and ensure needed supports are in place. Learning is supported by the EAL teacher and EAL teaching assistant both in the classroom and in small learning groups. Our EAL programming supports vocabulary development, communication and inter-cultural understanding.
If you are not a Canadian Citizen or a Permanent Resident please register at our International Students Program office at the Pembina Trails School Division office located at 181 Henlow Bay before registering at Laidlaw School. Please call 204.488.1757 for an appointment.
