Bonnycastle Phys Ed and Track Meet Highlights

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Spring is here, and we’ve been keeping our students active and engaged in exciting physical education activities! One of the highlights of this month was the Grade 4 Track Meet. It was a fantastic event where students had the opportunity to showcase their running, jumping, and throwing skills. From sprints to relay races, every student gave their best effort, and it was truly inspiring to see how much they have grown in their athletic abilities. We want to commend them for their hard work and sportsmanship during the meet. A huge thank you to the parents who volunteered and cheered on the participants! Congratulations to our Girls team on a 5th place finish and our Boys team on a 1st place finish!
In addition to the track meet, we’ve also been focusing on skip rope in class. Skip rope is a great cardiovascular workout that helps improve coordination, endurance, and strength. Students have been practicing different techniques and learning new tricks. It’s a fun way to develop agility and build overall fitness, while also learning how to challenge themselves to reach new milestones.
Encouraging physical activity at home is always beneficial, and we encourage students to keep practicing their skipping skills and stay active in any way that feels fun to them.
Thank you for your continued support in making physical education a priority for our students. We look forward to more exciting activities in the upcoming weeks!
Sincerely,
Physical Education Team
